Urology Phantoms
Realistic pathology, realistic endourology training.
Our advanced surgical training models simulate all critical elements of a specific procedure. The materials included have biomechanical characteristics similar to those of human tissue, and behave in a similar manner during cutting, manipulation, suturing, and electrocautery. Relevant anatomical elements like bowel, vasculature, fat, and other features of internal viscera are included. The advanced trainers have full medical imaging compatibility (CT scan, 2-dimensional and 3D ultrasound) and simulate true operative metrics of performance (blood loss, tumor margins, operative and ischemia time, amongst others).
Prostate Phantoms
Bench-top model consisting of a prostate gland with tumors, urethra, rectum and perineum. Optimized for a transrectal approach and can be used for fusion biopsy, focal therapy and standard biopsy training. Accommodates an end-fire probe. Includes MRI DICOM file.
Bench-top model consisting of a prostate gland without tumors, urethra, rectum and perineum. Ideal for brachytherapy and rectal spacer insertion.
Bench-top model consisting of a prostate gland with tumors, urethra, rectum and perineum. Designed for freehand transperineal or transrectal biopsy. Includes MRI DICOM file.
Advanced prostate phantom that allows for both transrectal ultrasound (TRUS) imaging and transurethral access for treatment. Phantom consists of penis connected to a hydrogel block with internal prostate, bladder and rectum. Drainage funnel included to handle irrigation.
Bladder Phantoms
Includes a hydrogel block with bladder lumen, prostate, and penis. Phantom includes key anatomical features relevant to treatment, including prostate capsule, enlarged prostate lobes, and verumontanum. Requires Case and Drainage system for proper use. Includes two drainage bags.
Endourology training phantom for the resection of bladder tumors using a variety of techniques and devices. Contains penis, prostate, and 500 ml bladder with epithelium, muscle, and serosa layers. Requires BOO Phantom Case and Drainage System to use.
Kidney Phantoms
Synthetic flank of tissue containing a kidney with two tumors and a staghorn stone within the renal calyx. The ureter extends outside the phantom enabling endoscopic access and stone treatment. Phantom includes ribs, spine, and pelvic bone. Ideal for simulating ultrasound-guided renal biopsy, percutaneous tumor ablation, PCNL, and ureteroscopic stone treatment.
Partial nephrectomy phantom compatible with laparoscopic or robotic surgical systems. Consists of kidney with 1 tumor located at the upper pole and 1 tumor located between the lower pole and midpoint of kidney, close to the urinary collection system. Kidney is covered in perinephric fat and contained within plastic tray.
Partial nephrectomy phantom compatible with laparoscopic or robotic surgical systems. Consists of kidney with 2 tumors located at the upper and lower poles. Kidney is covered in perinephric fat and contained within plastic tray.
Penile Prosthesis Phantoms
Advanced phantom for simulating implantation of penile prostheses. Phantom comprises a lower abdomen with pelvic bone, scrotum with testicles, and penis. Simulated anatomy within penis includes urethra, corpus cavernosa, corpus spongiosum, tunica albuginea, Buck's fascia, and other key features.
Basic phantom for bench-top demonstrations and training for implantation of penile prostheses. Phantom comprises a penis with urethra, scrotum, testicles, skin, and corpus cavernosa.
Testicular Cancer Phantom
Phantom for the manual detection of testicular cancer. Consists of a scrotum with realistic testicles, spermatic cord, epididymis, and tumor on the patient's right testicle.
Pancreas Phantom
Pancreas phantom consisting of a pancreas with duct and tumor, embedded in a tray of synthetic tissue. Includes duodenum, aorta, inferior vena cava, and superior mesenteric vein and artery. Phantom is "open" with organs exposed to open air.
