Spine Phantoms
Spine surgery training, no cadaver needed.
Our advanced spine phantoms are engineered to replicate the full anatomical complexity and biomechanical behavior of the human spine across cervical, thoracolumbar, and lumbar regions. Each model incorporates realistic vertebrae, discs, ligaments, dura, nerve roots, and surrounding soft tissues that respond authentically to cutting, drilling, manipulation, and instrumentation. Designed for multi-approach training with true-to-life tactile feedback. All models offer full compatibility with CT and X-ray imaging, and select phantoms support 2D and 3D ultrasound visualization. Viomerse spine phantoms deliver consistent, high-fidelity performance to support surgical skill development across a wide range of clinical scenarios.
Thoracolumbar Spine Phantoms
Spine phantom consisting of T12 to L3 vertebrae embedded in a hydrogel block. Discs are included between vertebrae. Phantom contains radiopaque synthetic bone intended to mimic osteoporotic bone.
Synthetic spine consisting of T8 - pelvis embedded in synthetic hydrogel. Phantom is radiopaque and CT DICOM files are included. Option to add on epidural space.
Synthetic spine consisting of T12 - pelvis embedded in hydrogel and dry synthetic skin. Phantom is radiopaque and contains skin, muscle (including psoas), bone, fascia, vasculature anterior to spine, peritoneal cavity and retroperitoneal fat. Phantom is compatible with posterior, lateral, and anterior approaches (including OLIF, DLIF, ALIF). CT scan available upon request.
Synthetic spine embedded in synthetic dry skin. Phantom is radiopaque and contains simulated degenerative disc disease, with thinned disc spaces and reduced interspinous distances. Currently available as L2 - S1, L1 - S1, or T12 - S1 but modifications are possible.
Basic spine phantom consisting of L2 to S1 vertebrae embedded in dry skin. The phantom is average patient width and includes discs, muscle, fascia, and skin layers. Phantom is radiopaque and is compatible with X-ray imaging.
Synthetic spine running T8 through the pelvis that contains a severe spinal deformity, ideal for simulating correction using a variety of surgical techniques. Includes muscle, fascia, and skin layers with a dry outer skin. Phantom is radiopaque and is compatible with X-ray imaging.
Synthetic spine consisting of T12 - pelvis embedded in synthetic dry skin. Phantom is radiopaque and contains dura, epidural space, ligamentum flavum, and muscle, fascia, and skin layers. Optimized for pain management and IVS training.
Neurmodulation Phantoms
Synthetic spine consisting of L1 to T6 embedded in synthetic material. Phantom is designed for realistic clinical simulation of paddle lead spinal cord stimulation (SCS), including dissection, laminectomy, and lead placement. Includes synthetic skin, muscle, bone (cortical and cancellous layers), ligamentum flavum and dura.
Synthetic spine consisting of T6 - S2 embedded in synthetic material. Phantom is designed for realistic epidural access and simulation of both Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS) and Dorsal Root Ganglion (DRG) stimulation. Phantom is reusable.
Cervical Spine Phantom
Synthetic spine consisting of occiput through T2 embedded in synthetic dry skin. Phantom enables a posterior or anterior approach. Synthetic spinal cord/dura, nerve roots, discs, and anatomy relevant to an anatomical approach included. Phantom is radiopaque, CT DICOM files included.
Endoscopic Spine Phantom
Spine phantom consisting of L2 to S1 vertebrae embedded in a hydrogel block. Includes spinal cord, nerve roots, discs (annulus and nucleus), epidural fat, ligamentum flavum, muscle and skin layers. Phantom contains radiopaque synthetic bone and is designed for endoscopic spine surgery.
Sacroiliac Joint Phantoms
Synthetic spine consisting of L3 - pelvis embedded in synthetic dry skin. Realistic sacroiliac joint included along relevant vasculature, nerve roots, spinal cord, and epidural space. Phantom is radiopaque and CT DICOM files can be included upon request.
Synthetic spine consisting of L5 - pelvis embedded in synthetic dry skin. Realistic sacroiliac joint included along relevant vasculature, nerve roots, spinal cord, and epidural space. Phantom is radiopaque and CT DICOM files can be included upon request.
Vertebral Compression Fracture Phantom
Triple fracture spine model containing T10 through L2 vertebrae, with vertebral fractures at T11, T12 and L1 requiring correction and treatment. Spine embedded in a hydrogel block of tissue. Visible ribs on the thoracic vertebrae. The phantom is radiopaque and compatible with X-ray and CT imaging.
Ultrasound Spine Phantom
Neurosurgical ultrasound phantom containing T10 - L3 vertebrae, spinal cord, dura, and 2 tumors (1 intramedullary at T11, 1 epidural at T12). Phantom also contains a herniated disc between L1-L2. Phantom intended for repeated ultrasound imaging and training.
Peripheral Nerve Stimulation Phantoms
Leg phantom intended for peripheral nerve treatment simulation. The phantom is radiopaque and runs from the upper thigh down through the foot and has a dry synthetic skin.
Knee phantom intended for peripheral nerve treatment simulation. The phantom is radiopaque and runs from the mid thigh down to the upper calf and has a dry exterior synthetic skin.
Pelvic phantom intended for peripheral nerve treatment simulation. Includes L4 through the sacrum and ilium, with a realistic sacroiliac joint. Phantom is radiopaque with dry synthetic skin.
Shoulder phantom intended for training with peripheral nerve stimulation and treatment. Phantom is radiopaque with dry synthetic skin.
