Viomerse's Bladder Outlet Obstruction (BOO) Phantom is a dynamic endourology trainer for a wide variety of treatments and devices for the treatment of benign prostate hyperplasia and prostate cancer. The phantom enables lifelike resection, enucleation, implantation, and similar procedures for the relief of bladder outlet obstruction. The phantom contains key anatomical landmarks including the penile urethra, verumontanum, obstructing prostate lobes with capsule, bladder neck, bladder with 500 ml capacity and ureteral orifices. The BOO Phantom system has been designed to collect the irrigation fluid common to endourology procedures. Flow from the bladder is controlled by an adjustable proprietary system. Drainage from the simulated urethra is efficiently managed with the attachable funnel. The phantom has been designed to be economical and comes with a reusable case and drainage system with a replaceable gel block containing the anatomy. 

PROCEDURES:

The Bladder Outlet Obstruction phantom has been tested with most of the following procedures: holmium and thulium laser enucleation (HoLEP, ThuLep), laser vaporization (Green light), TURP, water vapor (Rezum), urethral expansion (UroLift and iTind) and transurethral focal ablation (MRI).
