Viomerse’s partial nephrectomy phantom is a full procedural training model for a robotic-assisted or laparoscopic partial nephrectomy. The phantom simulates the approach, control of the renal artery, exposure of the lesions with realistic resection using standard minimally invasive instruments. The phantom comes in a procedure tray and contains a kidney with tumors located at the upper and lower poles, a renal hilum with artery and vein, pelvis, calyces, ureter, and perinephric fat. The kidney parenchyma simulates real tissue allowing for renorrhaphy. Other tumor locations, including an endophytic lesion involving the collecting system are available upon request.
PROCEDURES:
The partial nephrectomy model allows for training in robot set-up, perinephric fat dissection, identification of the renal vessels and clipping of the artery, excision of two or more tumors, and closure of kidney (renorrhaphy) and collecting system if involved. Functional bleeding models are available upon request.
